His sophomore album, Rainmaker, has generated an explosion of praise from fans and critics alike. With its throbbing, deep low-end and wall to wall synths which seem to channel something ancient and mysterious, the album has cemented a place for itself amongst the finest electronic releases of 2012. Now, as a busy year comes to a close, Thriftworks brings us his follow up - Hydromancy EP. His latest effort takes us even further down the rabbit hole, featuring strange, enchanting melodies and soundscapes, all drenched in deep bass. Hydromancy EP, as eclectic as it is original, proves once more that Thriftworks is an artist impossible to pidgeonhole. Thriftworks has played with likes of Gramatik, Figure, Shlohmo, Tokimonsta, Daedelus, Onra, ill.Gates, Bonobo, Andreilien (Heyoka), Random Rab, NastyNasty, Free The Robots, Govinda, R/D, PantyRaid, Tipper, Gladkill and Dibiase to name only a few. He has played numerous festivals including Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis Gathering, Sonic Bloom, Bounce Festival, Raindance, Enchanted Forst, Lucidity Festival, and Priceless Festival. In late 2012 he toured with Russ Liquid. He has collaborated with artists like ill-esha, B.Lewis, Russ Liquid, Insightful and BoneS.
